If you look over the rooftops of the townhouses to the rear of the courtyard at Nether Craigwell, you will see that there is a garden which winds up to the Burns Monument at the top. The garden is shared by all the residents of Nether Craigwell, and is reached by means of a steep set of stairs which lead between and behind the townhouses.

It's well worth the climb, though - once you're in the garden there are magnificent views over the Edinburgh skyline towards the Palace of Holyroodhouse and Holyrood Park.
